The latest big event to happen for AMSA this semester has been the arrival of the new M1 students! With their energy and ability, we are certain that this year will be a fantastic one. AMSA chapter co-presidents Anil Saini and Aisha Subhani addressed the new class describing the benefits and Advantages of joining AMSA. They were well received, and report that they feel the new students will join and participate with enthusiasm.

This year's AMSA national convention was exciting and successful. Two representatives from NSU-COM were elected to regional positions!

Projects planned for school year 1999-2000

1. Membership Drive
Development and execution of a major push to get the word out to the incoming M1 class. We want to let them know about AMSA, its history, programs and member benefits, and encourage them to join.

2. National Primary Care Week
September 27 - October 2, 1999
We are looking for a committee chair and people who would like to participate in the planning and preparations for this event.
